The Concord High School robotics team, Tidal Force 1721, participated in a pre-season FIRST competition with fifteen high schools from all over New England and their alliance took first place in the competition this past Saturday. In addition, the team won two of the four team awards for demonstrating innovative thinking and excellent sportsmanship. The team will be heading to New York for the next pre-season game where they hope to lead a new alliance to another winning game.  Last April, the team took this same robot to the World Championship and placed 25th in their division. The team consists of students spanning the four grades at Concord High School and as both male and female members. This is a team to watch as build season approaches for the 2018 FIRST game series.

Tidal Force is holding a new member orientation on
September 13thWednesday 4 - 5:30 in W3053. It will be a formal presentation for students interested in joining the team. Students will leave with a packet of information describing exactly the team expectations. Veteran members will be available to answer questions.
