National Honor Society

The National Honor Society is a group of motivated students who are committed to providing community service. NHS strives to create a passion for scholarship an eagerness to serve the community, to promote leadership, and develop an upstanding character in the students of Concord High School.

Members are also expected to uphold the four National Honor Society pillars:


Scholarship: Members of the National Honor Society are must maintain an NGA of 90 or above.


Service: Once inducted as a second-semester junior, every member must partake in at least 10 hours of volunteer time at Concord High School or in the Concord community.


Leadership: Members of the National Honor Society are problem solvers, who use their resources and ideas to better the Concord High Community. Leaders work well with others.


Character: Members of the National Honor Society are honest and reliable, and show respect for others. They work well with their peers and maintain a clean disciplinary record.


As a member of NHS, students attend a group meeting in the lecture hall at Concord High School at 7:00 a.m. on the first Friday of each month.

Members are also encouraged to share their ideas for the club by attending officer meetings which are held every Friday morning at 7:15 a.m. in room W4032.
