Frequently Asked Questions

I've been getting a lot of the same questions on senior pictures. To clear up confusion, here are the answers to those questions:
Why did CHS decide to go with only one photographer?
Administration decided to use Mark Lawrence Photographers because they were willing to do free sittings for families who were not going to purchase senior photos, giving theme the option to pick from 3-4 poses. In the past, seniors who did not have their senior pictures taken would use their school ID photo; with no input or options. This is a significant benefit to a large number of CHS families.
How do I sign up for the free sitting; I am having my family pictures taken with a different photographer and do not want to pay twice?
You can not sign up for the free sitting. Right now Mark Lawrence is only signing up for photo packages. The free sitting will take place at CHS in the late fall. When that day is confirmed, we will announce on our webpageFacebook page, and send out an email.
Why does the deadline say September 30th, but the free sitting is in late fall?
That date is for families who intend to order pictures. Scheduling a sitting where the student will change locations, clothes, etc needs more time then taking 3-4 poses during the school day at CHS.
What if I really like the senior picture that was taken by my family photographer?
Families are welcome to purchase senior ads which come in a range of sizes and prices for all budgets. You could include your family picture in a senior ad. You will receive more information on purchasing ads once school starts.
What if I live in Deerfield?
The free sitting will take place during the school day so you will be here anyway.
The yearbook club is run by CHS students with the guidance of advisers. If you are interested in joining the club, we will meet on Mondays in room W3110 from 3-4 starting in September. We are looking for creative, hard working students to create your senior yearbook. It takes hours and hours and hours of collaboration and dedication to come up with over 200 pages that represent everyone in the school fairly. If you have ideas, and the time to implement them, please join us.
Class of 2018 - Update
Class of 2018 - Clarification on the senior picture registration with Mark Lawrence Photographers. Mark Lawrence Photographers will be at CHS the week of July 17 and also the week of August 14 for paid sessions. These dates are for seniors who want a full session indoors or outdoors or a combo of both. In the late fall, they will return to CHS to photograph the remaining seniors for the no charge yearbook session. This day will run similar to underclassmen portrait day; seniors will be called down to the camera from a specific period. Doing this in late fall gives us a better idea of how many seniors will need to be photographed on that day. When a parent visits the Mark Lawrence website there is a tab on the main page to book a Concord portrait session. The parents will be prompted to choose the type of session they want to pay for, then they will continue onto the calendar to book a time. At this point in time they only have the July week available to book. Of course seniors can visit the Nashua or Londonderry studio anytime during the summer, they just need to call the studio of their choice.

Our senior portrait photographer for the Class of 2018 will be Mark Lawrence Photographers, for all formal senior yearbook photos; ONLY portraits taken by Mark Lawrence Photographer will appear in the senior portraits section of the yearbook.  They are able to offer multiple senior-only portrait sessions, at no cost to families, during the school day (date to be announced), from which students will pick their yearbook photo from 3-4 different poses. You will receive additional information from Mark Lawrence Photographers in the next few weeks including on-site dates and packages if you would like to purchase pictures. If you would like to use the free sitting option, you will not be able to sign up on the photographer's webpage because those packages are photo packages. All students must be photographed by September 30th
