He is currently a Physical Education Teacher at Rundlett Middle School, as well as RMS Athletic Facilitator. Coach Owen lives in Concord with his wife Laura, their 3 children, and two dogs Jerry & Millie.

Coach Smith

Coach Smith is entering his 6th year coaching at Concord High School and his first season as the Head Varsity Coach. Coach Smith still plays competitive lacrosse in the American Lacrosse League with the War pigs Lacrosse Club and also in the Old NE Lacrosse League with Old School. He is also the Co-Director of NE Elite Lacrosse coaching travel teams and camps for youth.

Coaching Philosophy
The key and success to any activity is to enjoy it and have fun. If kids have set goals, know what they are working towards and truly enjoy the challenge to grow as a person and a player they will have fun in the sport of lacrosse.

Playing Experience
Coach Smith played Goalie at Bethlehem Central High School in Section 2 NY. He then went onto play D-3 college lacrosse at SUNY Potsdam in upstate NY. Following college Coach Smith has continued to play competitive lacrosse for men's Club teams.

Coach Smith earned his Bachelor's degree from SUNY Potsdam in 2002 He currently works for Atlantic Sportswear and NEE lite Lacrosse.

Duke Sawyer 

Duke Sawyer has been the CHS girls softball coach since 2001, winning States in 2005 and 2009. Coach Sawyer started coaching in the Concord youth leagues in 1990 with his teams winning city championships four years in a row. In 1997, Coach Sawyer’s NH Road kill Team won the 18U NH ASA state championship and in 2009, he was the co-coach for the NH vs. Maine senior games. Duke Sawyer is affiliated with the NH Softball Coaches Association and the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association.

Coach Sawyer played soccer and baseball at Pembroke Academy in Pembroke, NH and was a former player in the Concord Men’s Softball League.

Coach Sawyer’s coaching philosophy: I believe a coach should give athletes a chance to be as good as they want to be and allow them to use their natural ability instead of trying to dictate their every move. Hard work and preparation are keys to success.

Coach Parsons

This is Coach Parsons third year as the Varsity Boys Tennis Coach. He is currently a Physical Education teacher at Beaver Meadow School in Concord. Coach Parsons has also coached Rundlett Girls Basketball and Rundlett Girls Soccer teams. This is Coach Parsons 7th year teaching and coaching in the district.

I have been coaching for 17 years, through Advantage Kids and USTA Junior Team Tennis.  2026 is my 6th year coaching at CHS and 4th year as Girls Varsity Tennis Coach.

My goal is to introduce players to a fun and accessible sport that they will continue to play long after high school and college.
